TREMONT—The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department has announced the arrest of two men for a January 13, 2024 death in Tremont.

Both David Baker, 60, of Franklin and Nicholas Parlatore, 55, of Tremont, were charged with drug crimes that resulted in deaths.

The charges occurred October 7. The arrests occurred the following morning. The sheriff’s department was assisted by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Maine State Police Tactical Team during the arrests. Those agencies as well as the Homeland Security Investigations, Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit, and Maine Attorney General’s Office also helped with the sheriff’s department’s investigation.
