Bar Harbor Bike Shop is renting bikes to walk-ins Wednesday through Saturday from 10-4 this winter season. Hours are also posted on its website.

The shop also has Fat Tire Bikes to Rent with Stud Tires for this winter season which are a lot of fun when there’s snow and ice.

STITCHES KNITTING AND CROCHET GROUP!

The Acadia Choral Society invites audiences to pause, listen, and Breathe at its spring 2026 concerts: Friday, May 1 at 7 p.m. at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Ellsworth, and Saturday, May 2 at 4 p.m. at St. Saviour’s Episcopal Church in Bar Harbor. These concerts are dedicated to the memory of George W. Emlen (1944–2026), who founded the society in 1979.

Camp Beech Cliff invites community members to roll up their sleeves and help prepare camp for the season ahead at its annual Volunteer Spring-Clean Up Day on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

Volunteers will assist with a variety of projects, including mulching garden beds, setting up program areas, and sweeping walkways—there’s something for all ages and abilities. Camp staff and board members will be working alongside volunteers from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., rain or shine.

Families are encouraged to participate; children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required at http://www.campbeechcliff.org to ensure an accurate lunch count.

MAY 2 — RED SHORE

“Red Shore”, an independent film by Maine filmmaker CJ Howey, will be featured at Reel Pizza in Bar Harbor May 2 at 2 p.m. The director will speak and answer questions following the film.

CJ was a student of local artist Rick Osann’s at Bonny Eagle HS. A talented actor and filmmaker, he has been making short videos and commercials as long as I’ve known him. This is his first full length feature film!


KARAOKE NIGHT AT FINBACK ALE HOUSE

PRAYER SHAWL MISSION GROUP

FOGTOWN (In Ellsworth, but by request)

Weekly events schedule for Ellsworth Taproom featuring Open Mic Night on Wednesdays at 6 PM, Trivia Night on Thursdays at 6:30 PM, and Live Music on Fridays at 6 PM.

There is an open mic night Wednesday evenings, trivia nights on Thursday evenings and live music in the beer garden on Friday evenings.

The Ellsworth farmers market is also now held in the parking lot of Fogtown brewery Saturday mornings beginning at around nine.

Are you a parent or guardian of an adult with developmental delays, ID/D or Autism? Would you like support?

We are a parent run support group. Join a community of parents and guardians helping each other with problem solving, understanding adult services, advocacy and policy awareness. Our group includes parents and guardians of high school age and older. Organized by Local Solutions. Meetings are at the rectory building of St. Savior’s Church in Bar Harbor at 4:30 every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.
