BAR HARBOR—Cameras flashed. A band rocked out. Kids smiled. And one young person may have hopped the entire parade route from the Bar Harbor Village Green, down Main Street and up Cottage Street Thursday afternoon as the Conners and Emerson Schools continued the tradition of a Halloween parade through Bar Harbor proper.

On Wednesday both the MDI YMCA and Birch Bay Village hosted Trunk or Treat events. Another parade happened in Mount Desert on Thursday. And the Trenton Fire Department will have candy for trick-or-treaters at the Trenton fire station on Halloween from 4:30-6:30 p.m.  The Trenton Fire Department will also host its annual hunter’s breakfast this Saturday from 6-10 a.m.

Bar Harbor will be trick or treating on Ledgelawn and throughout town again. Ledgelawn will be closed to vehicles from 3:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. so that trick or treaters can frolic safely.
