BAR HARBOR—There were 1,941 ballots cast in yesterday’s election and there are currently 5,118 registered voters in Bar Harbor. There were no local issues on the ballot.

In Bar Harbor, voters approved questions 1, 2, 3, 4,5,6, and 8, only voting against question 7.

Tremont, Southwest Harbor both voted against question 3 about Pine Tree Power. Mount Desert and Bar Harbor voted in favor.

STATE RESULTS SO FAR

The Maine results, which are the binding ones on these state-wide questions have played out a bit differently this morning with almost 52% precincts and 84% of votes reporting according to the Associated Press, Portland Press Herald, and also other news outlets.

In the state, voters passed questions 1, 2, 4, 5 and 8 and rejected questions 3, 7 and 8.

Do you want to bar some quasi-governmental entities and all consumer-owned electric utilities from taking on more than $1 billion in debt unless they get statewide voter approval?
